We just arrived in Nantucket for our annual Father’s Day vacation visit. I was planning on having lunch at Charlie Noble, but it’s no longer in business.

I started searching for alternatives and stumbled upon the Easy Street Restaurant. There were only a few reviews online (just one on Yelp), no website, and no menus online.

My curiosity was piqued and we headed straight over!

Someplace called Easy Street Cantina kept popping up on maps, so I wanted to check out the menu before we sat.

Of course, I immediately ordered a Fiddlehead Draft, but sadly, their draft beer system wasn’t set up yet, so I tried an interesting local IPA.

The interior is both hip and Nantucket at the same time.

We grabbed three corner stools at the bar and met the very friendly staff!

Easy Street just opened a few weeks ago, but everyone seemed to be settling in nicely.

As we pondered the menu, Christian delivered a Smoked Old Fashion to the table near us.

The Food

The menu is an eclectic collection of breakfast, brunch, and lunch items all mixed together.

I wanted to try one of the breakfast tacos, but ended up with the Maple Wings.

They had great flavor and offered a nice change from traditional buffalo wings. The dipping sauce worked well and the bacon bits in the slaw were killer. My first wing was a little overdone, but the rest were perfect (it happens)

Mrs. Horne went with a very healthy omelet.

Perhaps too healthy for me! I did enjoy the fingerling potatoes. Very tasty seasoning and properly cooked.

Peter ordered a chicken sandwich.

The one on the menu is fried, but Peter requested grilled and after a quick check with the kitchen, Christian confirmed it could be done.

The Easy Street Restaurant fits perfectly into the Nantucket Restaurant landscape. The prices are reasonable, the vibe is right, the location is ideal, and the food is unique.
