It’s almost Christmas Eve and my favorite day of the year.
It’s also almost January, and it’s time to start monitoring dockwa for ODBs (Opening Days for Booking) at my favorite marinas.
As some may know, I make videos of our boating adventures all season. You can find them anytime by visiting Vimeo and searching for “My Buzzards Bay.”
One of my Christmas traditions is to watch these videos on Christmas Eve after everyone has turned in for the night.
Below are links to share my tradition or just watch videos of New England boating while listening to great music.
I recommend casting them on a big screen to fully relive memories of summer. If you don’t know how to do that, just click on this link to learn more.

Hi Joe,
Where is your home port?
Search this site for ”Maine,” and you’ll get my port-by-port reviews.
Our #1 is Boothbay. We got stuck there for six days, and last summer, we never had trouble finding fun things to do.
Kennebunkport is like a smaller version, but the river is scary at low tide.
The northern ports (Rockland and Camden) are great, but we ran into a lot of fog in early July.
Portland is more of a hip city than a Maine seaside village—more like Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Nevertheless, it’s still a great spot.
Watch my blog or Facebook page, and if our paths cross, come by and say hi!
Dave
